The Chronicle

The Chronicle is an annual record of events and activities in school life during the previous academic year. It celebrates pupil's artwork, creative writing and achievements and provides an opportunity for staff contributions.

The Head's speech and the speech from the Master of the Junior School and Head of Pre-Prep are summarized in the journal after their presentation at the Speech Days at the end of the academic year.

Each year the journal is edited by a group of Sixth Formers and a member of the Senior School staff.

The first Chronicle was published in May 1886 as "a School Magazine" representing "a school of Girls and the other a school of Boys." and so begun the tradition of representing the whole school. Today the Chronicle represents the Pre-Prep School ages 3 - 7, the Junior School ages 8 - 13 and the Senior School ages 13 to 18.

The Chronicle is available from the School Office at 01227 475600 in December.
