Voice Trials for Choristers of Canterbury Cathedral

Dr David Flood is the Master of the Choristers and he is looking forward to hearing from new candidates. His contact details are 01227 865242 or david.flood@canterbury-cathedral.org. Candidates need have had no prior training: a keen ear and a clear voice, together with an eagerness to make music are the most important things. Natural potential is what Dr Flood is looking for.

The choristers are educated at St Edmund's School Canterbury where they enjoy all that this historic and distinctive school has to offer.

Substantial scholarships are awarded to successful candidates and further bursaries and financial assistance can be available too.

"To say being a Chorister in Canterbury Cathedral was a life-changing experience is in no way an exaggeration. They were halcyon days which opened up a whole new world; not only did I make life-long friends, but it was also a time which educated me in music and life, and above all it was full of fun." - Harry Christophers, Conductor and Founder of The Sixteen.

The Choir House will hold an Open Day on 8th October to which any family is invited. St Edmund's School Open Morning is the same date.
