How to find St Edmund's School Canterbury

By Car from London M2/A2

Approach Canterbury on the A2 southbound. From the A2 take the A2050 slip road, signposted Canterbury. Turn left at Palmers Cross Hill and travel via Rough Common to the Whitstable Road junction. Turn right at this junction.

For Junior School Visitor Parking: take the 1st left into Giles Lane and the car park is on the right hand side of the road.

For Senior School Visitor Parking: continue along Whitstable Road to St Thomas Hill. Visitor Parking is the 2nd entrance on the left signposted 'Headmaster'.

By Car from Dover A2

Leave the A2 at the junction with the A28 and proceed east along Wincheap towards Canterbury town centre. At the end of Wincheap, turn left at the roundabout onto Rheims Way. Take 2nd exit at first roundabout into St Peter's Place. Follow the road through the city wall and travel straight across roundabout into Whitstable Road.

For Senior School Visitor Parking: continue along Whitstable Road past University Road on your right onto St Thomas Hill. Visitor Parking is the 1st entrance on the right signposted 'Headmaster'.

For Junior School Visitor Parking: continue along Whitstable Road past University Road on your right onto St Thomas Hill. Visitor parking is the 2nd entrance to the school,signposted Junior School.

By train or other public transport:

Canterbury West is the nearest station for trains from Ashford, London Waterloo and London Charing Cross. It is a 20 minute walk or a short taxi ride from the station to the school.

Alternatively, trains from London and Dover travel to Canterbury East station. This is a five minute taxi ride from the school.
