Girls Hockey: U14 vs Wye School – 9th October
On Tuesday 9th October the U14 girls’ hockey team played against Wye School. We were quick to attack and three goals were scored by Matylda Reilly and Lucy Walker-Reid. Although most of the game was in our attacking half, our defensive players moved up the pitch and worked hard to block the oppostition. Chloë Dont, Sneha Shrestha, Emma Gurr and Krishma Loksam played a fantastic role. In the second half Lily Powell moved the ball quickly to Matylda Reilly and Anna McCabe, who scored another two goals. The overall score was 5-0.
Boys Football: U15 vs Simon Langton – 9th October
For the first time this term, The U15 football team were completely outplayed by a very impressive U15 team from Simon Langton Grammar School. It was clear from the outset that effort and commitment were not going to be enough and St Edmund’s conceded goals to great build up play throughout. St Edmund’s had one ‘purple patch’ just before and after half time where 3 clear chances were created. An outstanding strike from Steffi Ignatiou was the only chance that was converted. Mr Millard was very proud that the boys kept trying to play passing football until the end. Final score 1-8.
