Abingdon Clubs start up again!
Date: Tuesday 17 January 2012
A new school term and lots of fun clubs for the children to join!
Construction Club meets on Mondays after school. The first challenge was to build the tallest tower using Lego. However the tower had to be strong enough to withstand big gusts of wind!
"The towers need a strong base" said Ella...

"Our tower is ENORMOUS!" said Thomas and Oliver...

George and Toby tested their tower as they built it, it took lots of puff! "We put in lots of open bricks so the wind would go straight through instead of knocking it over" said George.

Knitting Club returns by popular demand! The children are knitting a variety of things from purses to spectacle cases, "I am making a scarf for my little sister's teddy!" said Zoe...

"We need to concentrate but it is fun!" said Olivia...

Arts and Crafts Club is very popular. The children are designing patterns with beads...

You need a steady hand for this delicate work!
