Two Aspects of Christmas - Drama Workshop in Abingdon House
Date: Monday 17 December 2007
On Wednesday Ian from KIC Theatre returned to St Edmund’s with a special Christmas drama workshop for Abingdon House children. The Robins and Owls had a tremendous time pretending to be various different toys from Santa’s gift sack: robots, jack-in-a-boxes and clockwork toys, to name but a few. Later on, the Wrens and Ladybirds became various characters involved in the famous Christmas journey. They were impressively serious Kings and they much preferred being sheep to shepherds, so appropriately there were many sheep and only a few shepherds. The end of the story was magical as angels floated around the room until at last the children settled to the ground to listen to Ian reading them the whole nativity story.
What a lovely activity, just before our own Christmas play!
