Inter-House Semi-Finals

The last Thursday of the half-term, and the semi-finals of the Inter-House Senior Boys' Hockey and Girls' Netball competitions pitted Baker against Wagner, and Warneford against Watson in the former, and Baker against Watson, and Wagner against Warneford in the latter.

At the UKC Astro, Baker did enough to beat off a strong challenge from Wagner, with a goal from Nick Clapham, and a second from Jack Barwick in the dying seconds securing a 2 - 0 win. Warneford went 2 - 0 up against Watson through Matt Williams and Ben Clarke, but Oli Perry escaped the shackles twice to equalise in 'normal' time, before crashing home a 'golden goal' from a short corner in the overtime period. Baker should be favourites for the final, but.....

The Netball matches were more one-sided, with Baker entering the final after a 20 - 6 win over Watson; even more emphatic was the 30 - 9 win for Wagner over Warneford. The final will pit the 1st VII goalscorers, Annalisa Flood and Arabella Pemberton against each other. Are Baker favourites for this one too?
