Archbishop Confirms Canterbury Cathedral Choristers
Date: Wednesday 9 April 2008

On the last Sunday before the Easter holidays six Form 6 Choristers were confirmed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, in the crypt of Canterbury Cathedral. These were Roger, James, Jamie, Theo, Oliver, and Cameron.

Parents and pupils listened to the Archbishop's address, in which he likened the confirmands to musical instruments that awaited God's Holy Spirit to breathe spiritual life into them so that they could work for Him in their own unique way. It was a beautiful service. Afterwards the families and Choir House staff repaired to the International Studies Centre in the precincts of the cathedral to enjoy tea in beautiful surroundings. Here you can see the Form 6 Choristers with a special confirmation cake to mark the occasion, as well as several other informal snapshots of the families and their supporters.
