Inter-House Tennis Semi-Finals
Date: Tuesday 29 April 2008
Monday April 28th was the scheduled date for the semi-finals of both the boys and the girls Inter-House Knock Out Tennis Competition for 2007/08.
By using both our own courts and those at the UKC it was possible to stage twelve rubbers in the two events, with Warneford and Wagner taking to the University, and Baker and Watson staying 'at home'.
Each House won one match, so each House will be represented in the final stages. The girls' final will feature Baker, who beat Watson 2 - 1, and Wagner, who outlasted Warneford, again by 2 - 1. Peeva and Lench won the decisive point for Wagner as the No.2 pairing.
The boys' final will be between Watson who overcame Baker 2 - 1, and Warneford, 2 - 1 winners over Wagner. Callaway and Dixon, and Naseem and Hollis won the Warneford points, with Marc van Rooyen and Henry Kirkness winning a long three setter to get Wagner on the scoresheet.
Finals' Day is Monday May 12th - just as Study Leave begins for the Lower Sixth representatives.
