Fast Track Learning Day (Years 3,4 & 5)
Date: Thursday 25 September 2008
All children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 attended a thoroughly inspiring Learn2Learn Fast Track study skills workshop today, run by a tutor from Positively MAD, which sets out to Make a Difference (MAD) to teaching and learning in schools.
The primary aim of the exercise was to show the children and their teachers how learning can be made FUN and to demonstrate easy-to-use ACCELERATED LEARNING techniques. We were shown how, by tapping into the children’s innate curiosity for all things novel and using their powerful imagination, it is possible to make information memorable.
Amongst the published aims of the Learn2Learn Fast Track Day are:
- To create a powerful, positive learning experience for pupils and staff
- To show pupils how easy it can be to absorb and retain knowledge
- To increase pupil confidence and belief in their ability to learn
These goals were certainly achieved and the children and their teachers had an immensely enjoyable experience at the same time. Thank you very much Positively MAD!
