Form 5 Victorian Day at Quex Park
Date: Friday 26 September 2008
All of Form 5 travelled to the Powell-Cotton Museum at Birchington to hear a talk and see exhibits as part of a Victorian theme. As you can see, they really entered into the spirit of the occasion, dressing up in vintage costume and improvising effectively where materials were scarce. All sorts were represented: fine ladies and labourers, chimney-sweeps and urchins, even a duchess and Queen Victoria herself.

Before going home the pupils had their photographs taken outside the Victorian buildings at school - could that door be the tradesmen's entrance? Everyone had such a good day that it seemed a great idea to put the pictures here for posterity. After all, we cannot escape history!
Keep a look-out for Her Imperial Majesty in the pictures....

.... We are not amused!
