The Cambridge Footlights - Gulbenkian Theatre

Date: Friday 28 September 2007

The first 'drama' outing of the year has become, almost traditionally, a visit to the Gulbenkian Theatre, to allow M5 and U5 Dramatists the chance to see comedy in action.

This year the Cambridge Footlights offered its comedy sketch show, with material that verged on the 'brink of insanity', and some that left staff members in the party very 'edgy' about its content!

In some respects, therefore, there was a feeling of disappointment; expectations had been set high, and the number of real 'laughs' did not match up to those expectations.

On the other hand, critics Carl Fryer and Max Rushton came to School revelling in what they found 'hilarious', particularly a Harry Potter sketch.
