Well done to Baker House on their second social event of the term! A Hallowe'en Party last Wednesday - with Lewis Parsons winning first prize for his costumed appearance as Count Dracula!
Congratulations to Alex Hunter (Baker, M5) on his selection for the Kent Boys Golf Squad. He may have to miss some Saturday lessons, but....
Congratulations, too, to Amy Osterloh, (Watson, M5), on her winning of a Bronze Award on the Duke of Edinburgh's scheme.
Good to see Old Boy Jared Colao back at SES last weekend, with his film crew from the University of Staffordshire. I hope Margot Chatenay (Warneford, L6) enjoyed the experience of working with professionals!
Congratulations to George Taylor on being called for audition last Saturday by the Los Angeles based film company, iPOP. If successful, he can look forward to next January in Los Angeles itself!
Despite the weather. the 20 cadets who went out on the CCF exercise overnight, Saturday to Sunday, all enjoyed the opportunity, and all came back! Mr Barnard, in the School Line, referred to them as 'heroes'!
Stop Press - George Taylor was successful, and will be travelling to LA, as one of 20 successful candidates for a week in the New Year. Well done, again!
The English Department's creative writing challenge, under the title of 'The Whetstone', was won by Alex Denton from the Wagner Upper Fifth. Highly commended were Jacob Austen, Natalie Terry, Amy Osterloh, Sagar Patel, Rowan Jones, and Nesta Wigan. The winning entry may appear in next year's 'Chronicle'.
