Inter-House Badminton Tournament

After a year off, the Inter-House Badminton Tournament re-entered the calendar for Michaelmas 2008, and today was the day!

Four separate competitions were played - Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Senior Boys, and Senior Girls - and the final positions were decided on overall performance in all four subsidiary events.

Ultimately, it proved very close indeed, with Warneford and Watson both finishing with 14 points, but, after a countback to points difference, the trophy went to Warneford, with a points difference of +47, with Watson's standing at +5.

The sub-competitions went to Warneford (JG), Warneford (JB), Baker (SG), and Watson, whose senior boys pairing was the only unbeaten partnership of the afternoon.

Wagner struggled, and had to withdraw from the SG, with only one available player.

Overall, a fun event, but with a cup at stake, 'fun' with a competitive edge! For completeness's sake, Baker came 3rd with 11 points, and Wagner 4th with 9.
