Looking ahead to Pi Day

Pi Day this year is Saturday 14^th March and the Mathematics Department will be running the celebrations leading up to it. One highlight will be the Inter-House Pi Recitation in which individuals in each of the Houses compete to recite from memory as many digits of Pi as possible.The ultimate challenge is to beat the school record set last year by Daniyal Jafree: he recited from memory 165 digits of Pi! Mr Reames already has Pi Cards ready (business cards with the digits of Pi printed on them) and they are available to all pupils who want to take on the challenge! There will also be Pi Stories to read and Pi Poems to write!
