Inter-House table-tennis competition: results

Date: Tuesday 3 February 2009

24 boys and girls from Forms 6, 7 and 8 took part in a closely-fought Inter-House Table-Tennis competition last week. There were nine matches in each age group.

In Form 6 Marlowe and Becket Houses both won two matches and lost one, winning them 6 points each, while Chaucer and Roper finished with 3 points each, having lost two games and won one. In Form 7 Marlowe, Roper and Chaucer all gained 6 points after winning two of their matches, while Becket lost all three games and did not score. In the Form 8 competition Marlowe, Roper and Becket all scored 6 points having won two of their games and Chaucer scored 3 points for winning just one game.

The match results tell their own story: it was a tight competition out of which Marlowe emerged top with 18 points, Roper were runners-up with 15 points and Chaucer and Becket tied for third place with 12 points each. Well done all who played: there was some fine table-tennis, an excellent competitive spirit and good sportsmanship.
