Deeson's British Restaurant

Date: Tuesday 31 March 2009

Those of you with long - ish memories may remember two members of Baker House in the 1980s, Sam and Tobi Deeson. On Saturday morning I met Sam for the first time in a long time, as he waved at me from the window of a new restaurant in Sun Street in Canterbury.

I looked again at the sign above the windows, and it simply said - 'Deeson's'. On an impulse I dropped in to the restaurant, and was warmly greeted by a Sam who has returned to Canterbury, and has set up shop in a restaurant specialising in good British food, a rarity in a city dominated by the cosmopolitan in terms of cuisine.

So, if you want to support an Old Boy of this establishment, and enjoy a 15% discount on your bill until April 12th, make a reservation today. Deeson's British Restaurant opened today, March 31st. Incidentally, the Senior School Prefects' Dinner will be held there this year on Tuesday 28th April. It had better be good - I'm sure it will be!
