Marlowe Young Musician of the Year

Though it is still very early in the process of deciding the outcome of this prestigious competition, Spencer Payne has sent me the following very encouraging news:

"You may be interested to know that three of our musicians performed in the first round of the Marlowe Young Musician of the Year pre-heats today (Sunday). They were Ben Preece, Sophie Belinfante of the L6 and Alexandra Abley (U5). We will not know the results for another week or so. Probably not worth mentioning in Chapel yet until the results are published. I will, of course, keep you posted but it is fantastic that we have three entries from St Edmund's - the most ever, I think."
