Lower School Science Show: Forces!

Date: Wednesday 20 May 2009

Mr and Mrs Wood made their summer term visit last week to bring the Lower School (Years 3-5) another of their outstanding science shows. This time the day was all about forces. Alexander and Allyssa from Form 4 report…

Mr Wood asked us to do some drama. Jack, Allyssa, Chris, Imogen and Aidan did it. It was about Hero. Allyssa was the king, Imogen was a servant, Chris was the guard and Aidan was the gold maker. The story was about how the gold maker stole from the king. The story showed us the principle behind Archimedes’s theory.

Mr Wood demonstrated other examples of forces, including how a hovercraft moves, magnetic force, inertia, expansion bridges and many other fun examples of forces. It was a brilliant show! We want to become scientists!
