Girls' Hockey - Ashford School Fixture

The 1st XI began a busy week with a 2 - 0 win away against Ashford School; this hopefully augurs well for matches against Simon Langton GS and Dover College, before the half-term break arrives on Friday.

The goals were scored by skipper Amber Nicholls and the prolific Olivia Thrush; much credit must go to Gina Zahn who was moved into midfield to deputise for the absent Arabella Pemberton. Well done! - and well done also to Kara Wagland who made her debut for the 1sts.

This win was particularly satisfying in that Ashford had reached the quarter-finals of the Kent Under-18 competition; we had been knocked out in the preliminary morning sessions.
