Inter-House Girls' Squash
Date: Monday 9 November 2009
The first semi-final of the girls' inter-House squash competition was held today, and it was in fact, the only competitive sport of the afternoon. The boys' squash team did not travel to Sevenoaks - staff absences - and Dover College did not bring an Under 15 girls' hockey team to us - early morning cancellation!
The House match was very close and played in a good atmosphere, with Mr Bold and the boys' team members acting as markers for the afternoon. Many thanks! Wagner qualified for the final with a 3 - 2 win over Watson, with the tie going to the final match where Charlotte Reeves beat Deveena Pithia 2 - 1 to clinch it for Wagner.
Arabella Pemberton and Rowan Jones won Wagner's other points, with Olivia Thrush and Emily Betham ensuring that the match went the full distance with good wins for Watson.
The second semi-final between Baker and Warneford is scheduled for next Monday, November 16th, after School.
