Bird Talk

Date: Saturday 30 January 2010

On 14th January Pre-Prep School and Junior School children were treated to a very special demonstration and talk about birds native to Britain, given by ‘Bird Talk’. The children were taught techniques for identifying the different birds, and also how they hunt for their food, what they eat and where they like to nest.

Following the talk it was time for the birds to show off their skills and owls, falcons and hawks gave us a wonderful display of flight. Many of the children volunteered to be part of the demonstration, which caused much excitement! The highlight of the show came when the children were given the opportunity to have their photograph taken with Snowy the barn owl.
