Back to Victorian Times in Form 5
Date: Monday 5 November 2007
To support their current History topic Form 5 children recently enjoyed a 'Victorian Day' at Cobtree Museum of Kent Life. Pupils and teachers spent the day dressed in Victorian costume and during the visit they were introduced to a range of Victorian characters who described their lives and jobs. Amongst the most memorable characters were a schoolmaster with a cane, a poacher with a gun, a cook and a blacksmith. The schoolmaster was the scariest, especially when he used a backboard on Elizabeth and then tied Charlotte's fingers together. The visit to the farmyard was universally popular.
