Mathematicians triumph again!

Many congratulations to the four members of the Form 8 Mathematics Team, James Hitchcock, Yunha Hwang, Daniyal Jafree and Michael Marriott, who won the Under 13 Trophy in the Sutton Valence Mathematics Competition last night. Independent prep and grammar schools from all over the county took part in this annual competition and it was a close-fought battle with a nail-biting conclusion. Finishing first equal with the Junior King’s School Canterbury, we secured the trophy after winning the tie-breaker. St Edmund’s last won the Under 13 trophy in 2004, though James and Michael helped to win the Under 12 Trophy last year. Well done too to the boys and girls of the Under 13B and U12 teams, who also did their best.
