To All Music Lovers!

Date: Thursday 10 June 2010

Spencer Payne has asked me to advertise - prominently - two forthcoming musical events, to which all are welcome
.

Firstly, on Friday of next week - June 18th - at 4.45pm in the Ivy Coleman Recital Hall, there will be a concert given by the Music Scholars of the Lower and Middle Fifth, and to make the event doubly attractive, refreshments will be served in the Music School afterwards.

In addition, if you want to hear Sophie Belinfante in concert for a last time as a member of St Edmund's School, she, accompanied by Spencer Payne will be performing a lunchtime recital, in the Recital Hall at 1.45pm on Thursday July 1st. Rumour has it that she has also been invited to perform as an interlude during the presentation of prizes on Speech Day on July 3rd. So you may be able to catch her twice! I certainly will.

For your interest, you might like to know that the peerformers on Friday will be George Inscoe, Jack Latteur, Stefan Fletcher, Joshua Best-Shaw, Guy Steed, Matthew Barker, Joel Whitewood, Matthew Roberts, and Ana Vandepeer. A veritable cornucopia of talent!

On July 1st, Sophie, accompanied by the inimitable Spencer Payne, will be playing sonatas by Beethovern and Cesar Franck.
