Lower School children enjoyed a busy and exciting ARTS WEEK on the theme of ‘Folk’ towards the end of the Lent term. On the first day Kathleen O’Sullivan and Billy Teare delighted us with their beautifully related traditional Irish tales. The children were encouraged to participate and loved Billy’s array of folk instruments. A talented group of pupils attended the Thanet Festival for Speech and Drama in March and they certainly made their mark! The Thanet Festival has provided an opportunity for people of all ages to showcase their talents, or at least their aspirations, since the 1940s.
