On Wednesday the boarders walked into the dining hall to a surprise. Their eyes widened as they were presented with a demonstration from our chef on how to make fresh pasta. The Dining Hall was filled with the smell of the delicious spinach and ricotta ravioli being freshly prepared by our catering staff. We were also given tasty samples of a Japanese style miso soup with noodles. All the children enjoyed getting involved in this exciting supper time; whether they were rolling out fresh pasta on the impressive equipment or just taste testing.

40 boarders decided to remain in at school over the January exeat weekend. Although the library was open all weekend and some boarders chose to work, most boarders took the opportunity to have a break from their studies. The old gymnasium was available for basketball for those who wished to do some exercise, and many went into Canterbury on Saturday during the day, with a few even venturing up to London for the day. By the evening everyone had returned to enjoy a tasty takeaway feast and tubs of ice cream before watching a film together.
