Last Wednesday School House invited the Choristers to join them for evening tea in the school’s Dining Hall. Not an ordinary tea! Pizzas were delivered for all to enjoy along with Mrs French’s snacks and drinks.
After tea everyone went up to School House to have a bit of down time and fun together – some played on the Wii or PlayStation 4 and others played table football.
This was a great evening and the School House boarders are really looking forward to going to Canterbury Cathedral next month to see the choristers at Evensong.
Dining out in Canterbury
On Sunday over 60 of the boarders went out for dinner at Chom Chom, one of Canterbury’s popular restaurants near the Cathedral. Chom Chom unites the rich cultures of Asia and Europe to bring delicious food that combines fresh and authentic ingredients served at a buffet. We all had a great time enjoying each other’s company and the splendid feast.

Celebrating the Chinese New year
Every year the Chinese students organise a party for the St Edmund’s boarders to celebrate Chinese New Year. Even though it was an early celebration this year due to half-term falling over New Year, this didn’t prevent the spirit of celebration! Thank you to all those who cooked and offered Chinese delicacies, and especially the scrumptious dumplings which were a delight.
