Day Three: 30th June

More entertainment from musicians, singers and the talented performers at St Edmund’s first Cabaret Night…

The Young Generation

A wonderful lunchtime concert devised and arranged by Aidan May (Lower Sixth pupil) that showed the range of talents from some of our young musicians in the Junior and Senior School.

All Around the World – Joint Choirs Concert

80 children from across the three schools at St Edmund’s joined for a spectacular afternoon of singing and journeying around the world in a hot air balloon.  The Dragonflies, Lower School and Upper School Junior Choirs and the Senior School Chamber Choir sang together and individually, each searching for delicious food to eat and different musical styles.  Scotland, Russia, Spain, Egypt, Australia and South Africa all made an appearance, culminating in everyone joining for a rousing chorus of the Zulu song ‘Siyahamba’. All the talk of food was rewarded with some magnificent treats with an international flavour from our catering team at Holroyd Howe for audience and performers alike.

It was incredibly heart-warming to see such a broad age range perform together with our senior pupils providing four-part harmonies for the youngest members of our community.  Each group performed with huge confidence and the combined ensemble was treated to rapturous applause at the end.

Pupil Cabaret Night

The Festival Marquee was filled with song, music, prose … and some bad jokes!!
