Computer Science

In Lower School (Forms 3-5) children develop their computer skills in a cross-curricular context through its use in all subjects, learning to use IT to support their classroom work.  They work with Microsoft Office applications and MS Publisher and they use the internet for research, learning to find, select and use information effectively.

In Upper School (Forms 6-8) Computer Science is taught as a subject in its own right and pupils are helped to be confident in their use of technology for research and presentation. More advanced techniques and properties are taught in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and pupils are introduced to computer programming.
