Little Sticks hockey fun for the Dragonflies
We had a super morning at Polo Farm this week practising our Little Sticks hockey skills with Annie, Ziggi and Jaynie.
The Dragonflies played Little Fishes to warm up followed by a dribbling game, taking balls from their opponents’ net and popping them into their own. Balls went whizzing down drainpipes next and the chase was on! The children had to retrieve the ball and then dribbled around the cones on the way back to their team.
Ziggi talked more about how to hold sticks properly, and just to use the flat side of the stick. We finished with some fast and furious games!
The children had a wonderful time. Thank you to the lovely coaches at Canterbury Hockey Club for giving up their time this morning. Little Sticks Hockey sessions take place on Sunday mornings 9-10 am – for more information please see the Canterbury Hockey Club website.
