Senior School Lunchtime Concert

While most of the school is ‘enjoying’ the weather outside this week, the Lower Sixth is still hard at work at school and several of our Sixth Formers put on today’s lunchtime concert in our, thankfully, warm and dry Recital Hall. The standard was high and the variety second to none.  ‘The Edmund Sisters’, consisting of Andrei, Rowan, Annabelle, Isabelle, Alex, Eloise, Lottie-Lou and Matilda, accompanied by Will on the piano and ably directed by Ms Martin-Smith sang a close harmony arrangement of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Visions’.  Andrei, Gemma, Eloise and Will all performed accomplished solos, from Bach, through Tchaikovsky to Ravel and Will and Andrei calmed the mood suitably with the jazz standard ‘Like someone in love’.  It is an extremely exciting prospect that this talented group is with us for another academic year!
