There were a large number of notable individual achievements throughout the year group, with most students achieving or outperforming their predicted grades. Particular congratulations to Matthew Nordin for achieving 3 A* grades in Economics, History and Politics and Alice Mount who received 3 A* grades in Geography, History and Politics.

Many have won places at elite universities and medical schools including Durham, LSE, UCL, King’s College London, Exeter and Warwick.

This year also saw another great crop of results in the Extended Project Qualification with 50% gaining A* and 90% achieving A*-C.

The Head of St Edmund’s School Canterbury, Edward O’Connor, said “We are immensely proud of this year group’s achievements. Our pupils have excelled themselves with these results. Now, as they move on to the next stage in their careers, at university, medical school, drama school or at conservatoires, I wish them every success and thank them for the wonderful contribution they have made to our school. St Edmund’s teaching staff also deserve great credit for their exceptional work supporting our students.”
