Sport in the Sixth Form
Sixth Formers have tremendous opportunities to participate in sport at St Edmund’s both competitively and socially.
We understand the importance of sport in developing fitness, friendships, leadership and teamwork. This is recognised in our timetable: Games takes place within our Sixth Form curriculum every Thursday afternoon. Our sports teams play regular fixtures against many local schools, take on high profile opponents such as Eton and Charterhouse and compete in county and regional tournaments.
Sixth Formers can participate in a wide range of sports including: football, netball, hockey, tennis, cricket, athletics and swimming. Expert coaching is available on site from our skilled and committed sports staff which includes former and current internationals.
Additionally, we have recently organised masterclasses run by British and South African international hockey players and sports psychology sessions delivered by a specialist academics.
