Trevor French: Colour Sergeant

Trevor French

Colour Sergeant

Trevor joined St Edmund’s in 2012, having spent 22 years seeing the world as an Army instructor with the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment. He says of his move to the school: “Straight away I knew this was the place I was meant to be. The concern for welfare and support – not just for the children but also the staff – made the transition easy.”

As the School Staff Instructor, Trevor has overseen the development of the Combined Cadet Force, which has gone from strength to strength. His other great passion is his work as Housemaster of School House, of which he says: “I love the family atmosphere, the laughter and seeing the children smiling after coming home from school. My wife Kelly and I love to make the children feel part of a family, so they get the home from home experience.”

When not on school duty, Trevor enjoys watching football with his sons, and freshwater fishing.
