Sixth Form

386a4150The St Edmund’s Sixth Form provides a highly effective transition from school to university life in a happy, supportive and stimulating environment.

We offer an extremely broad and exciting A level curriculum delivered in small classes to enable close support for students. In consequence, there are excellent opportunities here for academic success, along with artistic, musical, sporting and creative development. Our students take part in expeditions, charity work and enrichment activities to develop their potential for leadership and taking responsibility.

We believe effective communication is the key to success in Sixth Form. All Sixth Formers are affiliated to Houses where their tutors and Housemasters oversee their pastoral welfare and maintain strong links with parents.

Results are very important to us, and our Head of Sixth Form, Mr Mount, oversees academic progress, advising on subject choices and learning strategies. We know that preparing properly for life after school is a vital role of a successful Sixth Form. To this end, the Careers and Progression team provides expert, bespoke advice on the all-important UCAS university application process and on careers planning.

We hope that you are able to visit us and discuss the possibilities available for you at St Edmund’s Sixth Form.
