St Edmund’s Festival 2018


The 2017 St Edmund’s Festival was a huge success: a vibrant week of entertainment from esteemed guest musicians and talented pupils that was enjoyed by so many – parents, friends, and first timers to St Edmund’s. We are now very pleased to confirm that the St Edmund’s Festival 2018 will run from 27 June to 3 July.

Wednesday 27th June – Opening Night Concert: multi award winning violinist and regular performer at the BBC Proms, Tasmin Little OBE, accompanied by eminent pianist Martin Roscoe

Sunday 1st July – Evening concert: John Harle (award winning saxophonist and composer) and Jess Gillam (winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year Woodwind Final 2016 who made her Proms debut in 2017) with The Tippett Quartet

Monday 2nd July – Big Band Night: A fabulous evening of big band swing from the St Edmund’s Big Band and The Skelton Skinner All Stars (7 of the most celebrated musicians in the country, members of the BBC Big Band and the John Wilson Orchestra and regular performers at Ronnie Scott’s).

Other events planned include: Swing Dance class with KD Dance Orchestra, Evening of Sondheim, Drama performances for all ages, Pupil Cabaret, Evening of Words, Art and DT Exhibition, Talks, Vocal workshop with Louise Marshall (from the Jools Holland band), Art workshops, Circus workshop, Finale Concert & firework display, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
