Learning Enhancement

Helping every child to flourish

Our Junior School Learning Enhancement department is dedicated to ensuring every pupil can access learning and achieve their potential. Rooted in St Edmund’s strong pastoral ethos, our approach helps children feel understood, valued and confident in their learning.

Support is carefully tailored to the individual. Through early identification, thoughtful assessment and planned interventions, we work to remove barriers to learning and help pupils develop the skills and independence they need to flourish.

Specialist Support

Our highly qualified Learning Enhancement team brings specialist expertise across a range of areas, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, speech and language, autism and ADHD.

By understanding each pupil’s individual strengths and needs, the team can put effective strategies and targeted support in place, enabling children to engage fully with their learning and build confidence over time.

Working Together

Supporting a child works best when school and home work closely together. Our Learning Enhancement specialists collaborate with teachers and families to develop a clear understanding of each pupil’s needs and ensure appropriate strategies are embedded into their school experience.

This joined-up approach means support is not separate from everyday school life, but part of creating an environment in which every child has the opportunity to succeed.
