East Kent Children's Orchestra - a new youth orchestra
St Edmund's School Canterbury is launching of a new orchestra comprising young musicians from the School and the local community in East Kent. The ensemble will be for pupils ages 7 - 12 and of a minimum standard of Grade 2.
Rehearsals will be on a Wednesday afternoon from 4.30 pm - 5.30 pm in the main School Hall and commencing in January 2010.
The new orchestra will run in partnership with St Edmund's School Canterbury.
Aspiring young instrumentalist are invited to join in this exciting opportunity and to develop their musical talents.

St Edmund's Choral Society
The Choral Society is looking for new members to swell its ranks and singers of any age and standard are invited to join this choir.
- No audition necessary - just come and enjoy the music
- Sing in a concert with the Chapel Choir and Cathedral Choristers
- An opportunity to sing in Canterbury Cathedral
The first performance will be Vierne's Messe Solenelle for two organs and choir at the Gala Concert in the Cathedral on Thursday 18 March 2010.
Rehearsals take place in the Recital Hall at the School every Thursdays at 7.30pm from 7 January 2010. There is no rehearsal on Thursday 18 February due to half term.
The Recital Hall is located in the Francis Musgrave Performing Arts Centre with an entrance off University Road.
