Mrs Christina Lea

Housemaster - Baker

After studying Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Leeds, I spent a few years working in digital marketing while also dedicating time to teaching swing dance. Although I enjoyed those experiences, I felt a strong pull to return to science in a more meaningful way, which led me to pursue teacher training with the goal of becoming a physics teacher.

Very early in my teaching career, I realised that my true passion lay in the pastoral side of education. I spent six years as a Deputy Housemaster here at St Edmund’s, and I now feel very fortunate to have found my ideal role as Housemaster of Baker House.

I genuinely enjoy spending time with young people, and I have two lively primary-aged children who keep me busy when I am not at work. At the heart of my approach is a belief in seeing every pupil as a whole person. I’m passionate about helping students discover and develop their individual strengths, while also providing steady support through any challenges they face.
