A Level Results Day is always a special moment at St Edmund’s: the culmination of years of hard work, individual growth and shared endeavour. We are especially proud of this talented year group.

We recognise our families make great sacrifices to enable their children to attend St Edmund’s and thank them for the trust they placed in the school.

These results a powerful reminder of the importance of the crucial partnership between school and home.

Today is an opportunity to recognise that collective effort and to be immensely proud of how far every young person has come. At St Edmund’s we understand that definitions “success” are unique to every child and we value the achievements of every individual student for that reason.

We hope St Edmund’s families enjoy this special milestone together today, celebrate their educational journey as much as the destination and feel enormously proud of the impressive young adults their children have become.

This year, the school has an overall A-Level pass rate of 92% and 73% of entries were graded A*-C. Alongside the traditional A-Level curriculum, our pupils enjoyed an extremely high proportion of distinctions in Cambridge Technicals for Sports Science, and Dance and in the Leith’s Cookery Programme.

The A-Level Class of 2026 now move on to universities, vocational courses and gap years, not only with the results needed to gain access to the next stage of their education but also with the inter-personal and team-working skills and sense of social responsibility to make a significant, positive difference in society. 95% of our students won places at the first or second choice universities and 74% won places at their first choice.

“I am immensely proud of the Class of 2026. They have been a tremendous group to work with and have been outstanding leaders of the pupil community. We will miss them next year and wish them every success in their new challenges. Results are very much a team effort and my gratitude as always goes to our parents for their support and loyalty and to our outstanding teachers who always go the extra mile for their pupils.” Ed O'Connor, Head
