Pop Song Competition

Well done to all performers that entered the Pop Song Competition just before half-term.  Former pupil and artist, Dan Caplen http://www.dancaplen.com/ adjudicated the competition and was very impressed by the standard of the entries overall. The current lockdown situation has certainly allowed the creative and artistic spirit to flow and it was a pleasure to hear a wide range of different ages perform.  We are pleased to announce that Zoe Rogers from the Lower Fifth and Matthew Bawtree from Lower Sixth won in the Senior School.  Daisy Baker from Form 7 was the winner in the Junior School section. Thank you so much to everyone.

Senior School Music Competition

Again, thank you very much to all participants who submitted entries for the Senior School Music Competition last week. It was a real pleasure to listen to your performances and it felt very uplifting, especially at this current time. Even over the internet it was possible to feel a strong sense of communication from all performers to the listener; a very well done to you all. So, I have great pleasure to announce that the winners are:

Fifth Form

Maurice Caldon (solo) – Adagio by Vinci

Orlando Barton Hodges (ensemble) – Robin Hood Overture
