He spent five years at Kent College, Canterbury in numerous roles, including Graduate Assistant, Sports Coach and Teacher of PE, while also completing his teacher training. As part of his role at St Edmund’s, Dan organises both Hockey and Cricket fixtures and teaches academic PE to our GCSE students. Furthermore, he offers a variety of co-curricular clubs to pupils of all ages, including Hockey, Cricket and Football, as well as small group sessions for our Sports Scholars.
Dan studied for a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science & Physical Education at Canterbury Christ Church University, followed by a Secondary PGCE with QTS in PE at the University of Buckingham. He has competed in Hockey for Canterbury Hockey Club for several years, as well as at university, and continues to play for Canterbury Hockey Club alongside his cricket commitments for Nonington CC.
Dan shows excellent dedication to all pupils and continues to work hard to develop our athletes. He was an integral part of our U16T3 National winning success and the growth of our Girls’ Cricket teams, and he continues to support our GCSE PE students in achieving excellence in the classroom.
