How we work

The success of the Foundation rests on its ability to engage with committed individuals and groups. To facilitate this collaboration, the Foundation has set up a number of interesting options to achieve its objectives.

Major Capital Campaign

The Capital Campaign helps finance the major needs of St Edmund's, including new buildings, renovations and expansions of buildings and facilities. We set out to raise a specific sum of money to meet a specific goal within a specific period of time, usually within a two/three year period.

The Astroturf Appeal is the current endeavour and will be completed by the start of the 2011/2012 academic year. Please see current endeavours for more details.

Endowment Campaign

This campaign seeks to raise capital from both donations and legacies, the income from which may be used to support, in perpetuity, funding for bursaries and scholarships. This is an ongoing investment in the future of our young people. Contributions are welcome at any time as we have an ongoing effort to achieve our goals.

General Development Fund

As an ongoing, non-specific fund, it encourages donors to give to St Edmund's School in a general way. The donors need to be secure in the knowledge that the funds will be used for charitable purposes and in relation to the priorities established by the site development plan. The School Governors will agree to which purpose the funds will be allocated. Donors will be recognised in the same way as other donors.

Legacy Club

Membership of the Legacy Club will be given to those that make commitments of at least £5,000. Donors are invited to specify which project or fund they wish to support. Gifts are at the discretion of the donors. Gifts may be in the form of donations or bequests. Members are encouraged to consider allowing their name to be associated with the Club which will encourage others to support the School in a similar fashion.
