Last month I attended the Headmasters & Headmistresses Conference at the International Convention Centre in Newport, Wales.
It was an extremely useful experience and several important issues were addressed.
There were excellent workshops on developments in educational technology, the future of assessment, whole school approaches to tackling racism and on independent-state sector partnerships (such as East Kent Schools Together).
Chanel Contos gave a powerful presentation about the Teach Us Respect campaign and Dame Helena Morrissey spoke about challenges and opportunities facing schools in 2021.
As we (hopefully) emerge from COVID-19, it is time to look forward and start thinking creatively and constructively about building a better education system for our young people.
