Choristers Boarding – Choir House
The Choristers of Canterbury Cathedral board in the Choir House, a charming and historic building situated in the Precincts of Canterbury Cathedral.
The House is run by a team of resident staff, including houseparents, matron and tutor, and they are supported by two visiting tutors. Probationers can weekly board but once the boys graduate to the XVI boarding becomes full time.

The boy Choristers of Canterbury Cathedral are educated at St Edmund’s Junior School and cared for in their boarding house by St Edmund’s staff. Throughout their time at the school they follow a conventional academic education and they make excellent use of the school’s music facilities. Most choristers learn two musical instruments and take voice coaching as well as lessons in the Theory of Music.

Voice trials will be held on Saturday 9 November 2019. For more information about voice trials and how to apply, please contact the Master of Choristers david.flood@canterbury-cathedral.org
