St Edmund's

Over half term, our Head Mr O’Connor and Giselle Durnford (Head of Alumni Relations and Development) visited Munich.

This was part of a series of alumni reunions organised by the school for 2023-24.

The objective of these is to maintain contact with our pupils and build social and professional connections within the Old Edmundian community.

It was wonderful to see a number of our former pupils (who have now returned home to live and work Germany) and hear their St Edmund’s stories.

We were also extremely proud to learn about the progress they have made in their lives.

Some, for example, are now studying Medicine and Veterinary Science, others are about to head off to South Africa and Brazil for research years that form part of their degrees and one is now leading their own company working at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence in the engineering sector.

Our next reunion is the “Northern Gathering” in Leeds in two weeks’ time and there will be a Canterbury event in August with further international events planned.

This programme is underpinned by our alumni social networking platform which was launched last year and is already extremely successful.
