former pupil news
Congratulations to former Cadet RSM, William Clark, on his appointment, as an Officer, serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Gurkha Rifles.
William has just completed his second term, at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He will joining his new regiment on the completion of his final term, and subsequent specialist training, at the internationally renowned Infantry Battle School, Brecon.
William was an outstanding cadet, who justifiably was awarded RSM status during his time with the Combined Cadet Force. This accolade has only been awarded twice, during my tenure, and it comes as no surprise to me to see William continue to excel in the Regular Army, following a successful stint as an Officer, with the 3rd Battalion Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment.
Being offered a commission, with one of the most revered regiments in the Infantry is an honour indeed, and, is one only bestowed upon the very best Officer cadets to pass through Sandhurst.
We all wish him every success, when he takes up his command, and hope that he might consider coming in to enthuse the next generation of cadets very soon.
