‘No individual can win a game by his or herself’ – pele

Our team ethos has paid dividends over the past years and this term so far continues to highlight the above.

The U13/12 boys hockey teams played 5 matches this week against King’s Rochester and it is great to report that we had 4 wins with only the E team having a negative result losing 5-4 having lead 4-2 at half time.

The 1st XI this half term have played 6 won 5, losing only once, the Under 11A team have won all 6 up to now with the Under 9 team winning all 4 of their matches to complete a fine half term of Hockey.

The girls U13/12 A,B,C,D,E all had wins against the Duke of Yorks’ and the A and B team winning easily at King’s Rochester this week with Daisy Baker taking star player.

The girls 1st team have only lost 1 of their 5 matches half term to match the boys winning habit.

The Under 11A girls lost a tough match to King’s Rochester 16-9 but the match of the day was an end to end game in the Under 11B match with the final score finishing 7-7. Ella Jones’ dominant defending won best player this week following on from Olivia Wright’s brilliant play last week.

This Sunday, 48 Skiers from across the school from F4 to the U6th are off to The Rocky Mountains, USA and the highly acclaimed resort of Winter Park, Denver, Colorado for a week of winter sports. This will be our 15th consecutive year and our thanks once again goes to Mrs Relf for her tireless hard work, knowledge and expertise it takes to put an International trip together.

Finally for this half term, to all our Parents/Friends who have shown a desire for some morning Netball and a little reminder that our first sessions begins at 8.30am on Friday 28th Feb at the sports hall.
